Hello Cordy!

WTF, downloading and installing of stuff from scratch took 2 hour which is still acceptable. The code took 30 minutes to setup and configure. But the bloody emulator took me 1 hour to start up and load the program. After which, it finally said "Hello" to me, but not before I spend a good amount of time in more forum trying to read up why it's taking so long to load! Grrrr. Oh well, at least it's working now :)

If you feel like you can't sleep at night, do refer the reference link below for some fun and excitement! Cheers!

Cold Soba on a Hot Day

Here's a S$6.60 meal for two you can make on your own with just a visit to Daiso (where everything cost S$2.00). Buy a pack of buckwheat soba noodles, a bottle of bonito sauce, and a tin of saba fish in miso sauce. Then just add some spring onions and mince onion of mustard, and voila! A healthy and cheap meal, great for a hot day!

Cinnamon Rolls!

The wonderful thing about coming home early from work is having the whole house to myself to experiment with. And 9 little cinnamon rolls where born from my little Zoji!
The recipe and method of making it looked intimidating enough, but cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite food, how could I not at least gave it a try?

It took 1 hour and 45 minutes in the machine for kneading, and a further 30 to 40 minutes to let it rise after shaping it into rolls. The dough was soft and firm and lovely to touch and lovely to smell! Finally a 20 minute in the oven, and voila! Beautiful, soft, and hot cinnamon rolls! And the best part of it is, I can put in tonnes of cinnamon and raisin as I like. And it taste so lovely!

Ingredient for the rolls: Bread flour, sugar, salt, butter, milk, egg, active dry yeast. Fillings: brown cane sugar, cinnamon powder, and raisins.
Now all I need to learn is to make vanilla sauce to go with these lovely bun!

I smell apple cinnamon rolls coming up in the near future! Watching flour turn to dough turn to bread is like a little miracle, and now I can watch a miracle happen daily in my very own home :)

French Bread

Having ate too much chicken curry for the past week, someone gave me a wonderful idea of eating bread with curry! And so this faithful Sunday, we made French Bread (5 hours!), and cooked Nyonya Chicken Curry! Yummy! And here is the fruit of our labour :)

For breakfast tomorrow, cranberry rye bread! Yum!
