Crossroad

One of the things you get when you read through your past, is the discovery of long forgotten songs, long forgotten dreams and wishes. Way back then, I've always found inspiration from songs, and would write down those meaningful lyrics to help me get through the day. Here's an excerpt of a song by Don McLean call Crossroad which I love(dated 1997). And here below, the whole song from youtube. In fact, I've added a few more clips on Don McLean to share. His songs are so simple and meaningful.

The Origin of Cordy

Back when I was a teenager, I was totally into fantasy story books. And playing role playing game was a way to rewrite your own stories. Back then, DragonLance was everything! I was also very much into occult, everything from witches, voodoos, vampires and werewolves.

Here is an excerpt from one of my RPG story line featuring a character whose Cordy's name is short for (dated 1994). It's written by a friend of mine, so needless to say, it's written in such way that the character is in a losing position. Unfortunately, I didn't keep any of my own written story line since I passed them all to him. Bummer. It would have been fun to piece all the stories together and read it as one.

My 1st & 2nd White Hair

At a tender age of 16, my brother discovered my first white hair and, pluck it out! And I still have it, placed neatly in the pages of one of my diary! (dated 1993). The second white hair, was also discovered by my brother and, plucked out! (dated 1996) And you wonder why sisters all over the world hate their older brother.

To date, I've lost count of how many white hairs I've encountered on my head, but thankfully, they are not many. Let's keep it that way eh!

The Origin of Emoticons

A long long time ago, before there were computers, before there were chatrooms and MSN, people talked to themselves instead of others, in a primitive form call a diary. And as we all know, a picture expresses one's thoughts and feeling easier then words sometimes can. So even in that age, there are things call emoticons! The photo here shows some of the emoticons found in one of my ancient diaries (dated 1990). Thankfully, my drawing improves as years goes by. Hey hey! Maybe I can bring back my paintings in my next trip to Penang!

Jaydon

I don't normally put up photos of people I know in this blog, but today I'm making an exception since I got permission to publish these photos from Jaydon's mum. As you all know, I suck at taking photos of people since you never know whether people minded if you take their photos. But with children, it's a lot easier, and today, Jaydon happens to be in the right place to catch all the right lighting to make all these photos beautiful. Hope you like them as much as I do! Enjoy!
