18-Nov-2017, Hanoi - Finally at around 2pm, we made our way back to the hotel and check in. There are so many hotels to pick from in the Old Quarters area. The reason I selected Classic Hotel was purely for the traditional decoration that looked like it came out from another era. I was not disappointed. Above is the view looking out into the streets from the hotel. I love the old clocks hanging there, with the lanterns just below it, the buddha head, and the classic fan above. It was so super chic!
And this is what walking into the hotel looks like. The reception is just at where the illuminated lights are. The hotel goes all the way in, where the dining hall is. Only thing is, the hotel does not have any lift, only stairs. But really nice spiral wooden stairs. We don't really mind.
Here is a wider view of the hotel looking out into the streets.
And even when you go into the room, the decoration does not stop there. The hotel room was decorated with classic lamps, solid wooden furniture, and fake french window looking out into nothing since all the buildings were so packed together. Above is one of the decoration pieces in the toilet. I love it when hotel or homes have arts in their toilet. It says so much about a place!
More photos of the toilet without actually showing you the toilet, lol.
Here is a map of the Old Quarters. As you can see, you can manage to walk everywhere. You can even walk around the lake a few times a day. It is a rather short walk. Actually the lake was my favourite part. And eating ice cream there. I didn't really like the shops or the night market so much. But the lake was always nice, rain or shine. And ice cream helps too! And during weekend, there are always so much going on here. I'll blog more about it soon. I have pictures!
