Manchester/Scotland 2025 - Isle of Skye Tour Kilt Rock

After hunting for our dinosaur footprint, our tour continued on around the coast. We drove further high up along the coast and came to our next stop, the Kilt Rock. This was just a 15minute stop, as there was really only the awesome waterfall free falling it's way into the ocean to see.

This is the site as we made our way from our bus to the viewing platform.

Above the view of Scotland that is embedded in my head! Hahahaha. But actually in my head was a similar view of Ireland which I mistook for Scotland. But still, it was the iconic view that I wanted to see, where the earth suddenly end as it deep falls straight vertically into the sea. It was like someone has taken a tool and chopped it for the land to end so abruptly.

It was a difficult angle to actually get a shot of the cliff beyond along with the waterfall, so I am posting a few similar photos here. I imagined that people could just run and just jump from the cliff when they wanted to end their life here. I wonder if people did just that long time back?

Isn't it just a gorgeous view? Isle of Skye is like paradise on earth with such magnificent landscape!

My less impressive souvenir shot. I sometimes wish my husband was a better photographer. Then I might have lovelier photos to remember my trip by.
