So erm, seems I mistaken the treasury for the Treasure Gallery. Cause apparently, this post onwards is about the Treasure Gallery as this photo seems to indicate! A thousand apologies from my part! I was just as confused as when I was there in person, as I am now writing this almost one year later..... Welcome to the Treasure Gallery!
For a start, it wasn't really a gallery..... I mean, it was a series of halls and buildings? So here is a hall where a throne is located inside. I used to think that there was only one throne, like in the Western Royal Palace concept. But it seems in China, the Emperor has a throne in almost every notable hall!
A close up with the sign board and everything. It was super dark inside. No lights are switched on side....
Here we are like a study room? Reading room? There are royal seats here too. Love the gold colour.
Here is a side way seat. It does look comfortable. I am all for sitting on the floor! Plus, it's so spacious!
Moon gate seems to be a thing of beauty to the Chinese. You could often find these in large house compounds, or garden, or temple. But when I hear Moongate, it means only one thing to me, the starting point of the climb up Penang Hill! :D
Love the colours here. Red. And darker red, or maybe it was brown. With gold clocks, and a faded painting of a lady. Classic!
More clocks. Wait till I get to the clock hall! So many clocks in the palace! This is just a teaser....
Ceramic wall display! I love these! In my fantasy lodging, I would have a tea room, maybe two! One for oriental tea cups, tea pots and tea sets and tea containers! And maybe another one of western tea cups and tiered tea cake set etc. I love tea!
