Korea 2024 - Busan Haeundae Beach and Dinner

The beautiful Haeundae Beach. We took an evening walk along the beach before dinner. It was a super clean and long beach to walk. I always wonder why can't Malaysian beach ever look clean.....

Sunset view. There are concrete walkways along the beach. So many high rise buildings also lined the beach. I guess this is what a beach looked like in a developed country? Compare that to the beaches in Malaysia.... lol. So totally different.

Walking to the other end of the beach looking back. Love the rocks and water and building in the photo.

My goal was to walk to the island at the end of the beach to see how far it was. It was a manageable walk, but when we reach there, it was getting kinda dark, so we decided to turn back. But in my head, I was already planning to get up super early the next morning and come back here to explore the island!

Above is the night view after dinner. I wanted to see what it looked like. Since it was just across the road from our hotel, I decided to drop by before going back to our hotel. I didn't like that there were so many bright lights on the beach though.....

Above is the food street just behind our hotel. We went to look for dinner here, and also buy some snacks to eat along the way, or after. It was super crowded.

For dinner, we all ended up eating at the same place even though it was a free-and-easy time for us. Some of us ordered Koream Manju (dumplings). I didn't try any as I felt shy to try them since I wasn't paying for them. Plus, I've been making dumplings at home a lot lately, so it wasn't much of a draw for me to try these.

I ordered the manju rice cake soup instead. I though I would hate it, as I hate the rice cake tteokbokki dish. But the soup was surprisingly comforting to eat! It was hydrating and calming and juicy. I like it so much that I now even make them at home to eat with my own home-made dumplings. I bought some seafood soup pack and seaweed from Korea, and the soup is just so rich with sea minerals that I think it's like a super food to me! Very nutritious!
