Happy Deepavali

In the spirit of Deepavali, I had a sudden craving for indian candies. So me and my husband went down to Little India to get some. On our journey there we also go henna-ed along the way :)

Here's some photo of our henna. Top left hand is mine, a feminine henna of flowers. It cost S$6 for one hand only, and it dries out in 30 minutes after its drawn on, and you have to leave it there for 6 hours before peeling off the hard clay-like things. That will leave you with a dark brown looking henna on your hand that will last (i was told) 2 weeks. Top right hand is my husband Jaxon's hand. On it is the Sanskrit (संस्कृता वाक्) word "Om(ॐ)" commonly used during meditation, or also for blessing. His henna cost him S$10.

The photo on the bottom is some (yes, just some) of the candies we bought in Little India. A set like that cost $5 per box. You can also get just the milk candies from Komala Villas for $10 per box of 500g milk candies. Really nice!

If you miss the festival this year, do drop by Little India next year during Deepavali.

  1. It's gg to stay there for many days. Read that it is very hard to wash off.
