So after we dropped our bags at the ryokan, we made our way out again and walked back to town (20minutes walk without luggage this time!). This time round, the way was a lot more pleasant, and we took it slow to take in the scenery. The main feature seems to be this beautiful mountain.
Since it was spring time, lots of flowers can be seen on the road side. Took some time to appreciate these.
There were other traditional looking ryokan and hotel nearer to town too. Above is one of them.
Here is another one. This might be a shop or restaurant. That's me walking by the road.
Crossing the river means we were entering the town area. What a lovely weather for a walk!
Saying 'Hi' to all the local spirits along the way.
Finally, we reach the main road, and we started to look for the shopping street. Interestingly, we couldn't find it! So we decided to just follow the crowd and ended up in an adjacent alley nearby.
So, erm, above is the shopping street! It's like a kampung road. Pretty cute and intimate.
We were pretty hungry, so we decided to snack. No point having a big meal cause we have dinner waiting for us at the ryokan later. First snack, fried potato cake - croquette.
Can't remembered which one we had, but it was delicious!
I also have a cheese dessert that I wanted to try, so I hunt it down. Luckily it was easy to find!
It was basically just melted cheese. And I love it, cause I love cheese!
So yes! Bucket list checked for this dessert!
