Tampines 1 opening 9 Apirl 2009
Living in the East side of Singapore just got cooler! Tampines1 will be opening tomorrow 9 April 2009. That's one more reason for me to skip Orchard Road all together! We're already planning to go there for lunch tomorrow to check out their Japanese Food Court Manpuku. You can read more about it at Mall Blog from the reference link below, as well as the Manpuku web site. Other shops I'm looking forward to is Carl's Junior, Sake Inn, and Sushi Tei. I guess I'll be roaming the mall after work everyday from next week onwards :) See you there!

After reading this article about Dubai yesterday, life in Singapore definitely can be considered very good. Hope the Tampines 1 was not built using slaves.

Thanks for the comments! That's one very good and frightening article. We read in the newspaper about foreign workers being lured to singapore and getting cheated all the time, but at least the singapore government takes some action and tries to help those that are being cheated. So I think we can shop at the malls in Singapore with a peace of mind :)
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed an interesting article. It reminds me of my recent visit to ChaoChuKang cemetry. I saw foreign labourers being put up in dorms that have been built right besides the cemetry. I felt sorry for them.
