Kyushu 2023 - Kumamoto Mizumi Station

Coming out of Mizumi station was like being transported back into time. There was something just very simple, yet very elegant about the station. Above is the front view of the station. It was just a very small town train station, and it looked like it was made out of wood. Looks kinda like a humble shed actually.

There wasn't really much planned for our day trip here except to bring my husband to a soya sauce shop. Mizumi was just a very small town where people transit to catch a ferry to another place. So we weren't in a hurry, and took our time to enjoy the small but beautiful station. The above 3 poster caught my eye. I love collections like these being displayed. Very niche advertising. Yet so elegant. Heck, everything about this town is elegant, even though it's like in the middle of nowhere.

Walking into the station itself, I can see why the A-Train was kinda jazzy. The train station itself emit classy vibes too! From the wooded seat, to the carved ceiling, and beautiful round shaped lightings. The colour themed was similar to the train. Wow, it was as if the train itself was a teleporting time travelling machine! Magical! Sometimes I see how Japan does things, and I see the rest of the world so far left behind.....

Even the signage of the station name inside, as well as the art pieces made you felt like you were in a high class restaurant, listening to a jazz band while sipping champaign. Just elegant.

Kumamon spotted welcoming us to Mizumi, which also translate to triangle? Or three corner. Lol.

Walking out of the station, it was whitish yellow outside, and looked like it was made of wood. Everything was just so clean and spotless even though it was just a small station.

Here is a souvenir shot of us inside the station.

And me standing outside.

I love this small town station.

We have around 4 hours to kill? So where should we head to?
