TOL - Shadows

19-Nov(Friday). Favorite type of photograph? Lights and shadows. Here are some taken inside the Tower of London that gives you a feel of the medieval times :) Kinda reminds me of all the haunting documentary that I love so much. Unfortunately, nothing supernatural turned up in my photos even though it was shot in one of the hunting place in London.To start off, a clip on the ghost stories of the place... I'm kinda glad I did no research before visiting this place! Now I'm tempted to google ghost of Le Catacomb.....

Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium

Visited the Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium (minus the Aquarium since it wasn't open yet) today (20-May-2012). Had a free entrance ticket worth SGD5, so it wasn't that bad. I even paid SGD3 for a ticket to the Typhoon Theater (usual price SGD6, but since I have a membership card, there was a 50% discount). Anyway, verdict was, the theater was really not worth it, and the museum was just erm, ok. For a free entrance, I'm not complaining! I actually enjoyed the Malaysian Street Food more. But anyway, I did get some cool photos using my phone! So here are some cool pix to share. I'm so lazy to write these days that I'm just gonna let the photos do the talking.

All the below are taken inside the museum, but mostly at the museum shop.....still, beauty is beauty, at least to the eye of the beholder :P

Handmade Lunch Box Carrier 2

After making my first Lunch Box Carrier, I realized that one wasn't enough, especially when I don't do my miscellaneous laundry weekly. So I decided to make another one just like it, but with just a slight variation. So here is lunch box carrier #2.

 

It's still about teddy bears and ginger bread-man. And this time, I made it minty green, with a bright striped orange interior. The end product is as per shown below.

Handmade Card Holder

 

Don't it look sweet? My personal handmade card holder. I just love the colour and of course the feel of it! It's made same as the book-cover method , but this is smaller and cuter and so sweet! I got the plastic card cover from Kinokuniya for like SGD1.80! It was rather expensive, but I couldn't find the type I want at Popular Bookstore, so no choice. But after making these, I just love it. Front side is a ribbon, and back side is the "Hand made" sign. Inside there is also a small rose to add a personal touch to it. I bring it everywhere I go and use it to hold all my discount cards and coupons!

Handmade Key Pouch

 

Here's a little something I made the other weekend, and I even planned and wrote it down in my pretty little book with my awesome pen. Yes, we're making a key pouch today. And I have these adorable little keys I got from Chinatown the last time I was there. 

  

Anyway, here is the front and back view of the end product. It's tied with a string cause I kinda forgot to sew in the rubber piece that was suppose to go round the front flower button. I lost the string after one week, but I'm still using the key pouch and love the feel of it! The more I use it, the more cotton-ny it feels! And check out the back view of it with the little "Hand made" sign at the bottom right. I love it! Gonna sew that on all the small neat things I made! In fact, I got 24 pieces of it just last week when I went down to Chinatown again. They help add a personal touch to the things I made :)

 Here's the inside view. A little angel helps watch over my keys, a guardian of sort to the entrance of my home. And inside, the little key, and the key holder. I made the inside minty green cause 2012 is minty green year for me! Just like 2011 was a pink year! I really love the feel of the pouch! Hope you like it too and make one for yourself. Cheers!
