Kyushu 2023 - Kagoshima Sakurajima Yogan Nagisa Trail Part 1

After locating the starting point of the Yogan Nagisa trail, we started our afternoon walk. I really wanted to explore this trail as I saw some pretty cool pictures of it from the internet. It was quite a long trail that would probably take an hour or so to walk, but I needed to factor in some time to appreciate the surrounding and getting lost too. So at first I wasn't sure if we would have time to do this walk. But since we've already covered al the observatory in the morning have and done with lunch, it was now time to walk off the calories and take things slow!

More official information of the surroundings.

Starting our walk, we were greeted by cats! Wild cats. But very cute!

Even from the starting section, the beautiful landscape started. The black rocky beach, and the rock art that visitors have left behind. So interesting fact, I used to think the rock art was cool and I would also partake in it, as a form of appreciation for the place. But after visiting Scotland, our guide and some video clips on line there told us that this can actually destroy the natural surrounding there. By moving the rocks from their natural places, it could harm the micro biosphere of the place. So hmmmm, kinda makes you think.....

The beautiful but rocky beach with its dark clear water.

Some stairs leading nowhere due to some maintenance work. But the view from it was still cool.

Cats!

More cute cats! As the weather is cooler here, they were kinda fuzzy looking :)

Jaxon, going down all the way to the beach to have his photo taken. I'm not so sure foot, so I stayed on the path. I hate falling down on sharp rocks!
